Timeless Classics and Forever Pieces

My mom and I recently took Mother’s Day pictures at one of our local garden centers. It was a great surprise to her, when I told her what we were doing and she immediately thought about matching outfits. She went with a flowy dress and I went with a classic midi skirt. Though it is matching material, I think the combination made a great off-set with one another. The yellow floral prints matched perfect with our shooting location.

My mom is something that you will be seeing more of on the blog in collaborations with my adorable photographers. So be on the look out for more upcoming mother/daughter duos.

The midi skirt. Ole’ the possibilities how you can style a midi skirt. Style with neutral vests, cotton blouses, and going forward, to mixing in everything from masculine shirting, oversized sweaters to cold-shoulder, and cutout tops. A timeless classic. I paired my midi skirt with a basic white tee.

My mom and I both have a forever piece and that is our Michael Kors gold in diamond watch. A slice of fashion history with a personal touch that I will always remember the reason behind the purchase, it is definitely more than a piece of jewelry than a watch. Another one of my forever pieces this summer is the classic Saint Laurent large quilted leather bag. An over-size bag is a classic summer staple. For those last minute weekend getaways to those long hours at the ballparks.

Do you have any forever pieces you cannot live without? I know one thing I can’t live without and that is my mother! J

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
