LCFW – Night 1 The Runway

This was my very first fashion show to ever attend and I couldn’t have been more excited to be placed behind the scenes. So having the opportunity to attend the Lake Charles fashion week was a dream come true and such an exciting experience.

The amount of preparation that goes back stage is awesome to witness first hand. During the first night back stage I saw tons of beautiful make up displayed on tables, designer clothes ready for the runway. Which made shooting a bloggers dream. Here is a round-up of Lake Charles fashion week and highlights of the first night of the shows part one.

I arrived Thursday to the fashion show launch party to pick up my lanyard, press pass and tickets. This night mostly consisted of meet and greets and social networking. I was able to hang out with my makeup artist and I met the director Julie. She was such a down to Earth person and told me not to be shy because bloggers cant meet people that way. 🙂 This led me to meet a model and we hit it off immediately.

Friday started my first official shows by which consisted of designer heels, local department chains and some designers I’ve never heard of. My favorite collection of the night was a designer called Quad. Elegant pieces mixed with highlights of shimmering textures and color. To end this night I met an international model and I could not staring at her gown. It was sheer floral dress and it was fabulous.

For the very first night of Lake Charles fashion week. I paired a strip jumpsuit with nude heels. Simple and casual to run around snapping pictures.

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
