Farmers Market Shoot

One of my absolutely favorite things to do is to stop by a farmers market. I love being able to pick out my own fresh veggies and along with that, checking out the different vendors. Also, it reminds me of the country and I’ll take advantage of that feeling any chance I get!

A couple of weekends ago Anna and I (my sweet friend behind the lens) spent a beautiful morning at our local farmers market. It quickly became my favorite place. Here are a few details why:

  • The canned jelly and canned veggies! My favorite being the Mayhaw jelly.
  • The homemade stuff bread! So many different kinds. I picked the pepper jack boudin stuffed bread and almost ate the entire loaf in one sitting 🙂
  • The vegetables! Perfection! I saw a bundle of carrots and I couldn’t keep my eyes off them!
  • The people! Everyone was so kind and friendly. One lady in particular, who made sure we knew where the next farmers market would be held and this precious little girl, who kept wanting us to pet her bunny rabbit. So cute seeing a rabbit on a leash.

When the sun starts to peak over the trees, you’ll find us at the farmers market and that is the perfect time to check out your local market too! My only advice would be to bring your own tote and a big floppy hat. I especially love this vintage tote, as it was my great grandmothers. The perfect size for my hunk of stuff bread!

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
