Pulling Off An Expensive Look On Affordable Budget

Being a blogger (fashion blogger) requires getting inspired, but not copying another bloggers look. You create your own style and that is what gets you followers along with building a successful blog by promoting yourself. I agree to some level on this. I love getting inspired but at the same time, if I see a really expensive look, I don’t mind copying/blogging about a less affordable look you can pull off.

Need an example of what I’m talking about, no problem?! You see, I follow bloggers who are well-known in the blogging world and I love to see their high-end, fashion forward styles they pull together. The only problem is, most of the time I can’t afford one item of their purchase.

Below is a look I, “recreated” from a style blog that I follow on Instagram. She paired a Jonella maxi dress which could be purchased through Revolve for $250.00. The dress was paired with a DVF vest that retailed for $248.00, heels through TopShop for $150.00, and accessories which included a KinkK floppy hat for $170.00. The look was also incorporated with a Chol’e bag worth 1,400.00. The total of this style blog post was well over 2,000.00. Now, I don’t know about you, but now way can I afford such madness for a blogging shoot.

That is why I have recreated the look on my budget to make you still feel ultra-chic!

I paired a Francesca’s mid dress for $29.00. I then paired the dress with a black under shirt from Express for the same price as the dress. I added these versatile botties from Vince Camuto for $99.00, and added my accessories, (floppy hat $40.00, Sunglass was the same as the high-end blogger for $60.00 and topped my look off with a purse from …. Much less affordable for  ….. at Dillards.

Finally, I say to challenge yourself, because there is no reason why you can’t look like a million bucks on a budget.

budget friendly,

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
