Color on Color

I believe white on white can be worn at any time of the year. It’s really all about confidence. I personally think when you look good you feel good and right now I feel good. My mom is doing fairly good, (as good as you can on chemo pills) and it’s the starting of a new year. In fact, today she said: “it’s going to be a great year Kacie”. I said: “yes mom, it is!”

Anyways, as women we know what works on us and we wear it over and over again! And that’s what has happen with me and the same color pieces. Meaning, I love to wear white on white, denim on denim, black on black, – do you see the pattern here?

It’s all about finding the perfect balance to suit your body type. For myself, depending on the different colors I’m pairing together, I’ll do some extra make up, some statement jewelry, a pair of killer heels or boots and it still looks easy, cool and different.

I paired this all white outfit with a staple pair of buckle booties and a pop of color fur coat. The bold booties help draw peoples eyes down because they stand out. I’m very insecure about my hips and thighs so when I want to wear a jumpsuit or dress in all the same color fabric, I definitely  try to switch it up. Here are some more tips that may help you, when trying to decided what works best for you.

  • Accessories, accessories, accessories, will help you make the transition from day to night. Switch out sneakers for major heels and add statement necklace or earrings to go from work to a party
  • Find the right color and shapes for you: if you’re slim, cinch the waist with a belt. If you’re curvier, go for a lower waistline that hits closer to the hips.
  • Flared bottoms work well with a fitted top and a more straight leg balances off well with a looser top
  • avoid a one-dimensional look by layering or adding a jacket like I have. I love bomber jackets with a one piece.

Leave me a comment below and how you style your color looks?

Happy New Year everyone!

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
