Making It With Mom: Fudge Brownies

I don’t know what it is, but I’m having a hard time writing anything about this awesome brownie, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet today! Get it? ha! Anyways, nothing brings people together like food and desserts! However, noting brings people together like a funeral either. Unfortunately, this past weekend, this has brought my family together. My great grandmother passed away Friday morning and from last Friday until today it has been non-stop as you could imagine. She was 99 years old and faithfully prayed a rosary for her friends and family daily. She was a very sweet woman and I will think of her daily. One thing that my family and I will never forget about her was her sweetness and her smile. One of the greatest memories we will never forget about her is every time we would walk in her house, you can bet she would start the conversation with, “coffee shay?”

So here is to my great grandmother of 99 years. Brew you some coffee, call a friend over, and ask them … coffee shay?

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. matthew 5:5

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
