Love Your Mothers

Reminiscing is sometimes difficult to do at times. It almost makes me wish I had Alzheimer’s, only because I’m so passionate about my family and love them so deeply that it pains my heart on wishing I could do it all over again. As an imperfect human, the experiences and memories I’ve probably, intentionally kept buried. As a soul trying to simply make sense of today and tomorrow – at 20 I’ve accumulated enough experiences to fill a lake and at 30 I’m working my way to fill an ocean but the one thing I can say is that my mother has been with me on every single adventure.

Most may find this very odd or weird but if you’re like me, we have an unconditional love for our mothers, like we do our own children. However, there have been times where I have wanted to shake my mother to try to get her to listen to me or those days where I just didn’t want to answer the phone because I was so aggravated with her opinion.
Never the less, I only have one mother. She will be the last man standing for me, when nobody else is there. Through marriages, parenting, friends, family and life, maybe most people don’t feel this way about your mothers. I understand most mothers and daughters don’t have a connection or wish they had a best friend in a mom. I understand that your pain goes a little deeper than having someone’s apology.
We can’t see into the future, but by taking time to look back and not having regrets as to missing the opportunity to have a better relationship with our mothers. The future has no roadmap, whereas the past does. I know from the cancer journey I’m facing with my own mother and going through the times of planning out her own funeral, has been the worst pain of my life.

Join me together and have let’s make time to savor a cup of coffee with our loved ones, life is far too short to wake up and wishing we could have talked to our moms one last time and reminiscing on the times we shoulda, coulda, woulda.
XOXOXO – Love your mothers

On a lighter note, how amazing is this bag! I have waited years and years and years to have a Louis Vuitton bag. What I love about this bag is that it’s so versatile from winter until spring. It’s the Ambre Clear Plastic MM Tote Bag, perfect for spring and summer. Look for more upcoming fashion post on kaciecarlson.com

Thanks for reading and following along my journey.

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
