CTCA Advocate

The Journey of becoming cancer-free and a new CTCA Advocate of the Georgia treatment center:

There are millions, millions of cancer stories and untold cancer stories happening every day. My mother started her journey with one foot in the grave and the other as you would say on the banana peel, as we all thought we would have such a short story of her cancer journey. Trust me she had a little humor in saying that herself.

However, she is living to tell her own journey and she is doing it in style. My mom was approached by her OBGYN Oncologist after being so impressed with her results that she had asked if she would be willing to be an advocate for CTCA.

With great honor my mom accepted and is in the process of writing her own journey and will be posted as the newest advocate for Ovarian Cancer. Once her story is up on the website, I will announce the anticipated excitement with my blog as well with her story in inspiring other that walk in the Cancer Treatment Center of America for the first time with the loss of hope and fear.

We know medicine and doctors are vital for treating cancer, but to have emotional support is vital to people living with cancer and those who are for them.

Above is the link where you can find ovarian cancer support and their stories. Jan stayed on the phone with my mom for countless hours. I remember my mom saying that they stayed up talking till 1:30 in the morning.

I’m so proud of my mother and knowing that she will be continuing this journey in her follow supporters through the CTCA like Jan.

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
