Sweet Home Alabama: Sweet Gift Ideas

Hey guys I’m back traveling on this Sunday as my mother is headed back to the ATL for her second to the last round of chemotherapy. This time she will also receive a MRI, thank you so much for all the continuing prayers. This is also our second time to be traveling across Alabama. I must say, yes – flying is a much faster route however, driving is much more enjoyable to me. I love being able to sight-see and having a more personal impact of these traveling experiences.

We are about 157 miles outside of Georgia to be exact which puts us right in the middle of Sweet Home Alabama and right inside a pecan house called Priesters, that sits right off Interstate 65.

Stepping into the pecan house was an experience all on its own but let me just say if you’re looking for those last minute Christmas items, stocking stuffers or what to get cousin Ed. Candies and Fudge are the way to go.

Most of the time when people are traveling a tin can packed with Fudge is just as refreshing as a pair of socks! πŸ˜‰

I have enlisted some pictures of the pecan house. If you’re ever passing through Alabama I highly suggest this place as your next rest stop.

The really neat thing about the pecan house is that you could sample any pecan you wanted! Yum πŸ˜‹

Walk around with your ice cream cone?! No problem dude. How adorable is my mother? πŸ˜‰

And I couldn’t pass up the cuteness of these Pom-Pom gloves … Now, if I could just find a pair of Dallas Cowboy gloves

And if you keep up with my post, you know we couldn’t leave without fresh socks!

Hey Peeps! I'm Kacie, a 30 something year old dreamer with a love of all things. I'm a shy and very quiet girl from Louisiana. I grew up on a farm in the middle of watermelon fields and dirt roads. However, it was in the middle of those roads where my journey began as a child. I would like to think that I can always return to where I’m from when life is overwhelming. I enjoy baking, gardening, eating, photography, & all things country-related. I’m also a cradle Catholic who enjoys learning more about Catholicism. God has put my Faith to the test on several different occasions throughout my life. I’m a caregiver to my mother and this is where starting a blog began.
