Thanksgiving DIY | The Catholic Company Favorite Thanksgiving Items

Hey peeps! If you are looking for a fun activities for kids this Thanksgiving try a few of these DIY’s.

Thanksgiving was the big holiday around my house, I think that is why I try not to over look it with all the Christmas items in the stores. There is something about the holiday that gets me giddy with excitement. Growing up, we went this holiday with my mom’s side of the family. Everyone would gather at our house and time stood still for that weekend.

My family would eat, talk and eat and talk, and eat some more well into the next day and night. My cousin and I would spy on their conversations and we would happily sit on the floor next to them.

For me the holiday evokes memories of my moms homemade mac and cheese, my moms amazing dressing , and of course all the sweets you could imagine. My parents would start the turkey in the oven on Thanksgiving eve and I would wake up to the smell of the amazing aroma.

This year we might have a turkey sandwich and talk about how thankful we are this holiday.  I long for the day of hosting my own Thanksgiving, with candles setting the mood and loved ones gathered around the table, eating and talking, and eating some more into the night.

Here are a few ideas for kids this Thanksgiving and a few of my favorite items from The Catholic Company!!

Best,
Kacie

For a kids table have some pumpkins around and let them decorate them.

  1. Feathers
  2. Push Pins
  3. Paints and colored pencils
  4. Lay comic paper for table cloth

For the wreath I used an old book that incorporated the fall colors. This is a great statement piece for your door. Very affordable all at the same time!! This wreath cost me about $5.00!!
