This winter season they say BOLD and floral prints are the trending colors to put you in the mood for Spring. Down south it feels more like summer than the winter months of December as of now for me but I’m obsessed over this floral maxi skirt and let me tell you the ‘kind of sad’ story of why I purchased it but then it ‘kind of turns’ happy – so here we go…
I came across this beauty one afternoon as I was wondering around lost in the mall with nothing to do and nothing to really buy, (sometimes just to get out and clear my mind) knowing that I was planning for the worst in my life. I instantly thought what a beautiful skirt to wear to my mothers funeral. I purchased it and was going to keep it tucked away until I just had to break it out.
I’m sorry so sad but this is what cancer does to you. Even if you don’t have cancer watching your loved one going through the battle as you are going through the battle with them.
It does this to you and makes you plan for the worst.
However, now with her being in remission I proudly look forward to embracing the mood for Spring. I am so blessed that the Lord has gave my mom more time on this earth with me.
Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12
Now, let’s get to these pictures! How funny are they! You know as a blogger you want the best quality pictures for your blog. It takes 30 to get that one perfect shot, but let me tell you that I’ve always had a funny side to me. I don’t mind sharing the not-so good moments of trying to capture a few good ones for your viewing. It was so windy the day I took these. I almost ate the dust and fell right off the dock!
I look forward to embracing 2016 with the stories behind my outfits, my mothers cancer journey and bringing back that fun Kacie again that has been pushed back deep inside for so long.
Sometimes it takes something really bad to get to something good in your life and I can’t wait to share.
Haha – one more inch and BAM … goner
